1. Crease the centre line
White side up. Fold the right edge over to the left edge and unfold to mark the vertical centre line.
2. Fold the sides to the centre
Fold the left and right edges in to meet on the centre line, like closing two doors.
3. Crease the top and bottom
Fold the top edge and then the bottom edge to the middle, creasing well, and unfold each again.
4. Pull out the bottom corners
Fold the bottom edge up to the middle along its crease while pulling the two hidden corners out to the sides as points. Press it flat: the bottom now looks like a boat.
5. Pull out the top corners
Do the same at the top: fold the top edge down to the middle while pulling the two hidden corners out to the sides, and press flat. You get a long hexagon.
6. Fold in half behind
Mountain-fold along the middle, where the two strips meet: the top half goes behind the bottom half.
7. Open it into two boats
Stand it up with the fold at the top and spread the front and back strips outward. The points at both ends open with them into bows, and two boats appear side by side with a shared wall in the middle. Done!

Tip:
Finished!
Well done! Watch it again or try another model.
Play with it
- Give each of the two boats a small passenger, like a tiny toy or a paper doll.
- Float it on water — it stays up until the paper soaks through.
